TeSA places great emphasis on the importance of music, with every student required to take choir or music classes. At TeSA, young artists develop sight-reading skills, study music symbols and vocabulary, and learn rhythm and melodic dictation skills. Students are given experience developing teamwork and discipline as part of a choir ensemble.
TeSA goes above and beyond to inspire their love of music
- Opportunities to perform include recitals, competitions and yearly musicals.
- Students gain experience playing both pitched and unpitched instruments.
Ryan Gibson heads the music department at TeSA and holds the Bachelor of Music from Roosevelt University as well as the Master of Music Education from the University of North Texas.
