Texas Boys Choir Celebrates 70 Years With Proclamation and International Tour



The world-renowned local boys choir will celebrate its 70 years of unrelenting excellence with a series of special events scheduled throughout 2016.

FORT WORTH, Texas –March 8, 2016 – The Texas Boys Choir, a local world-class musical organization for young men, is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding this year. Marking the beginning of a year of events across the globe recognizing this achievement, the organization was recently honored with a proclamation from the City of Fort Worth that officially declared February 2nd, 2016 Texas Boys Choir Day to honor the anniversary date of the choir’s founding in 1946.

Throughout 2016, the choir will engage in a variety of exciting events, including “JFK,” A World Premiere Opera that will be performed at this year’s Fort Worth Opera Festival. The year of celebration will culminate in February 2017 with a Commemorative 70th Anniversary Concert. A full list of the Texas Boys Choir’s 2016 performance lineup can be found below:
