FWAFA Accepting Applications for 2015-2016 School Year

FORT WORTH ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

 Fort Worth, TX— Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) invites artistically talented students to apply during the school’s open enrollment period January 5 - February 6, 2015. Applications will be accepted from students entering grades 3 through 12 next school year. 

Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts is a nationally ranked public charter school providing excellence in arts and academic education for North Texas youth. In addition to a rigorous classroom schedule, students receive training in dance, music, theater, and the visual arts. Admission to FWAFA is by audition and more than 500 talented students are enrolled. Each year, the school produces a complete season of performances and exhibitions for the community at large, including art exhibits and concerts, and ballet, modern dance and theater performances. In all, students performed for more than 200,000 people in the last academic year.

 This year, Texas Charter Schools Association recognized Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts as the top special mission charter school in the state for its academic achievement. The Daily Beast ranked it as the #84 charter high school in the nation, and FWAFA was also ranked as a top high school by U. S. News and World Report for the fourth year in a row.

 

All students applying for admission to Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts must audition in at least one area of artistic interest. Available space varies by grade level. As a public charter school, there is no tuition to attend Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts.
