Wedding FAQ

We know you have many questions as your prepare for your special day and we hope this guide will be an easy-to-use reference.

What is your fee?

Our fee is $2500 for up to 4 songs from our wedding repertoire. If a song is requested that is not on the list, there is an additional fee of $500 per piece and the director will have prior approval to determine if the choir has sufficient time to learn and perfect a new piece. There is an additional fee of $500 for holiday appearances.

What will the boys wear?

There are three wardrobe choices:

  1. Red Choir robes: with the white cotta and ruff collar, with the white cotta only, or robes only, no white
  2. Suit: navy blazer, gray slacks, white shirt with red & blue striped tie
  3. Black Tuxedo

Does an organ or piano need to be available?

The venue must have an organ or acoustic piano. For wedding music, an organ is preferred. If using a piano, it must be recently tuned.

Who is responsible for hiring the organist/pianist?

The client is responsible for securing the organist/pianist. Usually the organist that is playing for other parts of the service is the one that accompanies the choir. If this is not possible, the choir has a list of organists that you can contact. We will provide the sheet music for the organist.

How many boys will be singing?

The choir usually consists of 16-36 boys. The number of boys is determined by the director, the musical selections and the venue. The fee is the same regardless of the size of the choir.

When do I need to pay?

A deposit of one-half of the fee is due with the signed contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event. We can work out special arrangements if necessary. A personal check is fine. We also take credit card payments.

What if my wedding is outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

Venues outside of the DFW Metroplex may incur additional travel costs which may include meals, housing, and bus charter.

When do I have to decide on the songs and wardrobe?

Song and wardrobe choices do not need to be made when executing the contract. Those choices can be made up to 60 days prior. The only exception would be if a song is selected that is not on our wedding list. The director will determine how much time is necessary to learn the piece.

How far in advance do I need to secure a date?

There are certain times of the year in which we are extremely busy. In order to save your date, a contract should be executed once a decision is made to book the choir. We typically do not accept bookings in July.

Texas Boys Choir would be honored to be a part of your special day. If you have additional questions or need clarification on any of the above information, please call or email Lisa Earl. We look forward to working with you.
