In 1969 "A Time of Waking" had its World Premiere in Fort Worth, Texas. This documentary, a philosophy of boy choir, was produced by the Walsh Foundation in cooperation with the Baptist Radio and Television Commission.

"A Time of Waking" received the Bronze Award in 1970 from the International Film and TV Festival and in 1971 it received the George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
